The weaving house is situated in a renovated section of the medieval building, Palazzo della Lana, from the 12. century.
This is where the medieval history of local wool production meets the future of slow crafts and sustainable textiles.
The mission of the weaving house is to re-introduce popular weaving as a craft, so that local production of textiles may again be widespread. The environment with looms will also contribute to an appreciation of textiles and weaving art.
Improving skills of spinning and weaving may open op for small scale production – and for a social activities beautifying and strenghtening community life.
